What is your rut?
Posted by Beth on 11/12/2010
The
holiday season is here! What better time to break out of your fashion
rut? We all have them, and you don't have to overhaul your entire
wardrobe to get out!
The first step is identifying what your rut is. Here are some hints:
- You wear black to every holiday party. Your LBD has gone B-A-D (Boring and Drab.)
- You've been carrying the same handbag for as long as you can remember.
- You're still wearing the clothes you worked out in hours ago.
- You wear the same jeans or black pants every day.
- You wear the same jewelry every day. In fact you never take off that favorite necklace and pair of earrings.
The
next step is to pick a trend that works with your lifestyle, body type
and personality and TRY IT!!! Don't be afraid to break out of your
mold. Here are some ideas:
- I was in the boot-cut
jean rut. I wore them everyday, and still think they are the best,
most flattering jeans, period. But this season I have turned to skinny
jeans or leggings tucked into black riding boots with a long sweater, and I love having a new and different daily look.
- Diamond studs
and dainty necklaces are very pretty and often have sentimental value.
But let's face it, there is something about a pair of big round hoops that makes us look more youthful and hip. When you put on that LBD, why not go crazy with a sparkly, chunky necklace and a bracelet to give it a fresh, flirty new look. The same dress, new look, for under 50 bucks!
- Our signature product is the flirty wrap
- do NOT be afraid to try a new look like this one. Wear it instead of
a cardigan with jeans, wear it as a scarf, wear it as a chic wrap to
transform that LBD. It is the single most functional, flirty item of clothing we own. Try it.
- Your
leather handbag is great, but does it have a WOW factor? My friend
Sarah bought a Big Buddha red miranda bag, and believe me, a fun, funky handbag can change your outlook and mood. at well under $100, they are considerably less than a massage or therapy.
Go ahead... find your inner flirt...
